WLAA (pronounced "Wala") is the nonprofit organization that partners with the US Army Corps of Engineers to bring many events to the lake area each year, including the boat races, fireworks, the Festival of Lights, Old Greenville Days, and many more. Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center at Redman Recreation Area next to the Wappapello Dam gatehouse. Meetings begin at 6:00pm and are open to the general public.

I'm sorry there's not more info here, WLAA is an extremely important part of the Wappapello Lake community.
